On May Day, hundreds rallied at City Hall to demand an end to 24-hour workdays, healthcare for all, and protections against Eric Adams’ pro-developer “City of Yes” plan. AAD was proud to endorse and lend support to this intergenerational, multiracial, and cross-sector showing of solidarity.

Recently, a collective of current and former staff at the Noguchi Museum released a new demands letter, along with a 70,000-word document outlining their concerns with museum leadership. You can read and sign the letter here.

This Friday, May 16, at 9pm, members and friends of AAD will be hosting an artmaking workshop at Brooklyn Jail Support (120 Schermerhorn). Participants will compose poems from cut-up and upcycled copaganda for folks released from Central Booking. Free and open to all!
