Dear friends,

Happy International Women's Day!

A reminder that we will meet TONIGHT at 264 Canal Street, #5E "Vacant" from 6:30-8pm.

Tonights meeting will be hybrid. Please

.

Following the meeting at 8pm we will have an agitprop outing in the neighborhood.

The meeting will be co-hosted by

 with guests from

 and

.

Proposed goals of the meeting are as follows:

  • Bring together folks interested in organizing in Spring-Summer 2022 against the jail plan

  • Continue and build on AAD’s work in the neighborhood

  • Orient ourselves to the No New Jails fight

  • Orient ourselves to the skills, interests, ideas, and risk level of the attendees

  • Create new connections with each other and hear new perspectives. Learn some concrete skills from each other

  • Create a plan to continue working together

We will recap last month's activities, discuss strategies & tactics, research & graphics, outreach & partners. This will be a special meeting primarily dedicated to the jails situation. Hopefully, and depending on how many AAD members vs new folks show up, we can also discuss updates on Jing Fong, CWG, Two Bridges Towers, and East River Park, as well as any housekeeping!

Our monthly meeting is the second Tuesday of every month. All are welcome!

We'll see you at Columbus Park at 1 pm this Saturday, March 12, to remind Mayor Adams of his campaign promise, and to urge him to invest in our community.

In the meantime, continue emailing Mayor Adams and his administration daily by using
