It will be preceded by a 5:30pm walkthrough of Long walk from the F train by co-curator Camila Palomino at Abrons Arts Center — please try to be on time, so that we can walk over to Seward Park Library by 6:30pm. This Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 6pm, come visit us at the second annual Storefront Book Bash (97 Kenmare St)! Alongside other independent publishers, we’ll be selling zines and ephemera by AAD members and friends, with proceeds supporting the Coalition to Protect Chinatown & LES and mutual aid efforts in Gaza.Among the publications on offer at our table will be Disruptive Engagement: An Organizer’s Guide to Building Community Power for Justice in Land Use and Housing in NYC, co-edited by AAD emeritus member Vanessa Thill.

This Wednesday at 11am, join home care workers in demanding their stolen back wages outside the New York State Department of Labor (55 Hanson Pl)! Recently, the NYS Supreme Court ruled that the DOL had improperly closed hundreds of home care workers’ wage theft cases, and should continue pursuing them immediately. RSVP for the rally here.
