We Need a Green Plan, Not an Environmental Disaster

AAD will print and poster your submissions all across the Lower East Side and Chinatown to spread the word. Posters should be 8.5in. x 11in. or 11in. x 17in. and max 10mb jpg files.

On Wednesday, we started picketing against the Chu family and boycotting their businesses until they stop selling out Chinatown and the Lower East Side! 

Join us on Wednesdays and Sundays 12-2 at 183 Centre St, in front of Eastbank.

The Chu family, the biggest landlords in Chinatown, have forced the beloved Jing Fong restaurant to close, and refused offers from the community to take over the restaurant operations. Alex and Jonathan Chu are putting their own profit first, ripping out the heart of Chinatown, and destroying the only union restaurant jobs in the entire neighborhood. Moreover, Jonathan Chu is the co-chair of the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) which accepted Mayor de Blasio's bribe of $35 million to support the new jail proposal. In the midst of heightened racism and anti-Asian violence, it is shameful for the Chu family to sell out Chinatown and the Lower East Side. BOYCOTT CHU'S BUSINESSES--EASTBANK, 50 BOWERY HOTEL, MOCA, CHIKARASHI, NAKAJI, until they meet the community's demands:

- reopen the Jing Fong dining room -

- return $35 million to fund recovery of workers and small businesses hardest hit by the pandemic -

- The Coalition to Protect Chinatown & the Lower East Side
